Hi, I’m Andrea! I’m a twenty-seven-year-old pre-med student that graduated on April 2016 with a BS in Psychology and Neuroscience minor. I was born and raised in Peru until I was twelve. I now live in the States with my amazing husband, our identical twin boys, and our cats Stevey and Bon Bon.
I made this blog to help me document my pre-med journey and connect with other pre-meds around the world. 🙂

The meaning behind the name:
Neurosurgery is something I will consider when choosing a specialty. I was trying to think of a name for the blog when my husband said that From Sturgeon to Surgeon would be fitting. He said it would symbolize my climb to the top (IF I become a neurosurgeon). I was studying fish in my Zoology class at the time and the sturgeon was one of them, so it made sense. That’s how this blog was born. 🙂
